LANAHAM, Md. (WNEW) — A 2-year-old girl is recovering after she nearly drowned in a community pool Tuesday night.
Montgomery County Emergency Crews responded around 5:45 p.m. to the 12500 block of Winexburg Manor Drive, in Silver Spring.
She was found face-down and unresponsive in the water by a family member and later pulled out of the water.
CPR was administered by a family member and lifeguard, who were able to resuscitate the little girl.
She was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The pool is closed for the night following the incident.
