LANHAM, Md. (WNEW) — A man and woman were found with stab wounds in an apartment in Rosedale.
Around 1:45 a.m. on Aug. 25, Baltimore County Police responded to the home in the 9800 block of Whitney Drive and found the couple with serious injuries. The man, identified as 39-year-old Charles William Mitter, was pronounced dead on the scene.
The woman, identified as 26-year-old Tyray Avia Wise, was taken to a local hospital where she later died.
On Aug. 30, police arrested 45-year-old Carlos Lomax, of Baltimore, and charged him with the murder of Mitter and Wise. Police say he is the stepbrother of Mitter.
Mitter is charged with two counts of first-degree murder, use of a handgun during a felony crime, two counts of armed robbery and one count of burglary. Police say they believe the murders occurred during a robbery.
Lomax is being held without bail.
The investigation is ongoing and police say they are looking for a second suspect. Information will be updated as details become available.
