UPDATED: Aug. 25, 2014 2:19 p.m.

LAUREL, Md. (WNEW) — Prince George’s County Police say a man’s body was found in two bags in Laurel Sunday morning.

Police responded to the 8800 block of Enfield Court around 9:30 a.m. Officials say they were called to the Arden Pointe Apartments when someone called police after they found one bag containing body parts.

Officers later discovered the second bag also containing the man’s body parts.

Police believe both bags are the body parts of the same man. On Monday, police identified the man as 28-year-old Jacinto Perez, of Laurel.

Cadaver dogs were searching the area. It was not immediately known if they are searching for another victim or more body parts.

John Baker, a resident at the apartment complex, took the photos below while authorities were on the scene.

No other information was immediately available.

The investigation is ongoing. Information will be updated as details become available.
