LANHAM, Md. (WNEW) — A Prince George’s County probationary officer has been suspended after she was charged Friday with second-degree assault.
The department says Probationary Officer Shakeya Walker, who has been with Prince George’s County Police for eight weeks, was involved in a domestic situation on Aug. 18 while she was off-duty.
Police say the victim declined medical attention.
Walker’s police powers have been suspended and an investigation is ongoing. Police say she could be terminated.
