LANHAM, Md. (WNEW) — Six men have been arrested in connection with the murder of a Manassass man found near a dumpster Sunday.
Manassas City Police have arrested 24-year-old Juan Francisco “Blade” Guevara, 25-year-old Mario Antonio “Joker” Portillo, 22-year-old Argenis “Payaso” Sandoval, 18-year-old Jose Rafael Ramirez Lopez, 20-year-old Ludwig Ulises “Negro” Mena Romero and a 17-year-old male.
Romero was arrested Monday and Lopez was arrested Wednesday.
Guevara, Portillo and the 17-year-old were arrested without incident Wednesday night in Baltimore County with the assistance of the United States Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force, Immigration Customs Enforcement and Baltimore County Police. Sandoval was arrested Friday afternoon by the Manassas City Police Department with the assistance of the Northern Virginia Gang Task Force, U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force and Prince William County Police.
Police were called to the scene around 10:30 a.m. Sunday in the 8900 block of Nicol Lane. Neighbors reportedly found the body near a dumpster.
The body of 26-year-old Cesar Benjamin Contreras was found with apparent fatal stab wounds.
Officials say investigation indicates that this was not a random attack and that the men involved may be connected with a criminal street gang.
