Transgender Woman Killed In Baltimore Remembered Saturday

BALTIMORE (WNEW) — Friends and family of a transgender woman killed in Baltimore gathered at a memorial service on Saturday, exactly one month since her body was found in an alley.

A woman identified as Amira said she attended the service to show support for the transgender community and to honor the life of one of its members, 26-year-old Mia Henderson, who was found dead by police in a North Baltimore alley off Piedmont Avenue after suffering what they described as “severe trauma.”

Police are investigating a possible connection between Henderson’s murder and one of another transgender woman in Northeast Baltimore in June.
