ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WNEW) — A dozen Annapolis police officers spent their day off camped out on the roof of the Dunkin’ Donuts on West Street to raise money for the Special Olympics.

The goal was to raise $1,500 by noon Sunday, and police say they raised about $1,600.

Dangling from the roof was a bucket on a string where people could throw in cash donations. Other officers were standing at the entrance collecting money in their buckets.
