DISTRICT HEIGHTS, Md. (WNEW) — A man shot and killed his estranged wife and another woman in District Heights before turning the gun on himself Friday.

Prince George’s County Police say they responded to the home on the 1500 block of Addison Road South around 4:30 p.m. Officers forced their way into the home in an attempt to save those inside.

Police found two women and a man suffering from gunshot wounds. One of the women was pronounced dead on the scene.

The man and other woman were taken to a local hospital where they both died a short time later.

Police believe the incident is domestic-related. Preliminary investigation suggests the man shot both women before turning the weapon on himself, according to police.

The man is identified as 45-year-old Leroy Johnson, Jr., of Oxon Hill. The two women were identified as 42-year-old Zonita Monia Roberts, of Smyrna, Georgia, and 43-year-old Angela Lynette Johnson, of Oxon Hill.

Police say Leroy Johnson was recently estranged from his wife, Angela Lynette Johnson.
