LANHAM, Md. (WNEW) — A woman and teenager are dead following an accident Friday night in Upper Marlboro.
Prince George’s County Police are investigating a deadly accident that occurred at the intersection of Ritchie Marlboro Road and North Riding Road around 8:30 p.m.
Aarrayn Perez, 19, of Upper Marlboro, and Barbara Armes, 66, of southeast, D.C., were both pronounced dead on the scene.
Preliminarily, police believe Perez was driving on North Riding Road approaching Ritchie Marlboro Road when she failed to yield the right of way while attempting to turn from North Riding Road onto Ritchie Marlboro Road. A Nissan was travelling southbound on Ritchie Marlboro Road when it struck Perez’s Lexus.
Armes was the passenger in Perez’s car.
The driver of the Nissan was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police are investigating.
