LANHAM, Md. (WNEW) — Before she was the queen of the Windy City, Oprah Winfrey was a Baltimorean for nearly a decade.
Winfrey visited her one-time hometown Wednesday, and posted a picture on her Instagram account of her enjoying a crab feast with longtime partner Stedman Graham.
“Crab feast in Baltimore! #CaptainJames,” she wrote. The couple dined at the Captain James Seafood Palace in Canton.
Winfrey became co-host of WJZ-TV’s “Six O’Clock News” in 1976 and later went on to become co-host of the channels local talk show, “People Are Talking.”
In 1984, she moved to Chicago to host WLS-TV’s morning talk show, AM Chicago.
Apparently, Winfrey wasn’t just in Baltimore for the night. She also tweeted about touring the city on Thursday.
Loving Baltimore today OMG has this city grown. I hardly recognize downtown. #CharmCity—
