WASHINGTON (CBSDC) — After days of buildup, Chad Dukes has officially announced he’ll be hosting the afternoon drive timeslot (Monday through Friday, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.) on his own, moving forward, in the wake of Lavar Arrington’s full-time departure for NFL Network.
After co-hosting alongside Arrington the last five years — since the station flipped, from the guy talk format of old to sports in July 2009 — Dukes will now commandeer the foremost timeslot for D.C. sports fans, solo, under the re-purposed show title, “Chad Dukes Versus the World,” previously only offered weekdays between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Arrington will continue to appear on the show, albeit on a much more truncated basis, on Mondays and Fridays between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m.
The experience, although maintaining one half of the “Lavar and Dukes Show,” is sure to be very different.
And it begins now.
