LANHAM, Md. (WNEW) – A Virginia doctor has been accused of improperly distributing prescription painkillers.
Prince William County Police say 53-year-old Samad Oraee of McLean, Virginia, was arrested Tuesday for writing prescriptions for pain medications without properly performing necessary medical exams.
Oraee, a licensed physician at the Neurological Center of Northern Virginia, has been charged with two counts of prescription fraud.
He is being held on a $5,000 bond and a court date is pending.
