WASHINGTON (WNEW) — Erin O’Connor and Peter Dwyer’s first date was at the National Building Museum in D.C.
On Tuesday afternoon, Dwyer proposed to O’Connor in a temporary maze installment in the Museum’s Great Hall, as dozens of people on the second and third floors watched on.
Museum marketing director Brett Rodgers says Dwyer led his bride-to-be to him with red rose petals placed on the floor.
Fellow museum-goers cheered after O’Connor said yes and the couple celebrated with a kiss.
Rodgers captured the whole thing on video, too, so their moment is memorialized on YouTube.
“A lot of people commented on social media and online and were just saying how cute it was,” he said. “I think there might have been a lot of people who were regretting not doing something more romantic for their own proposals.”
