LANHAM, Md. (WNEW) — People visiting D.C. breweries will, for the first time, be able to purchase the brewery’s beer during their visit.
Breweries can apply for this permit under a new law included in the city’s Budget Support Emergency Act of 2014.
A permit will allow customers to purchase and consume beer while on the licensed premises from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. seven days a week.
The Alcoholic Beverage Regulation Administration is now accepting and processing permit applications. Breweries will still need to get tasting permits to provide free samples to their customers.
