WASHINGTON (WNEW) — A Montgomery County man who was severely beaten during a convenience store robbery in Northwest Washington over the Fourth of July weekend has died, police say.
James Oh, 76, of Rockville, Maryland, died Tuesday from injuries suffered when two masked men robbed his convenience store, located in the 5500 block of Colorado Avenue NW, on the evening of July 4.
The suspects fled the store in a stolen Jeep Cherokee with D.C. tags DP6033. Police have since recovered the Jeep.
Surveillance video footage from the store shows the suspects — both black males — going behind the counter and beating the clerk before taking cash from the register.
Police are offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects in this case.
