Man, 24, Arrested After Fatal Stabbing in Gaithersburg

GAITHERSBURG, Md. (WNEW/AP) — Montgomery County police say they have a suspect in custody following a deadly stabbing in Gaithersburg.

The stabbing occurred early Friday morning. Police say 22-year-old Bryan Robert Hall, of Gaithersburg, was stabbed several times in the parking lot of a residential community and was taken to a trauma center in grave condition.

He later succumbed to his injuries.

Police say they identified a suspect, 24-year-old Pavel S. Ivanov and also from Gaithersburg, and took him into custody Friday morning.

Police say Ivanov and Hall had agreed to meet at the location, where they fought before Ivanov stabbed him.

Police say Ivanov faces first-degree murder, along with other related charges.
