LANHAM, Md. (WNEW) — Police in Montgomery County are trying to identify the two burglars that were captured on home surveillance video after breaking into a residence in Boyds.

On May 28, the men forced their way into a home in the 15000 block of Barnesville Road and vandalized the interior using baseball bats and stones, police say. The burglars stole a number of unspecified items and damaged others by throwing them on the ground outside.

The men also smashed the window of a vehicle parked at the home and rummaged through the glove box, according to authorities.

Homeowners contacted police on May 29 after discovering the burglary.

The incident was recorded on a private security system inside the home.

A $10,000 reward is being offered in the case and police are asking anyone who may be able to identify the men to call 1-866-411-TIPS (8477).
