LANHAM, Md. (WNEW) – Speed restrictions have been issued for MARC’s Camden and Brunswick Lines because of the blistering temperatures.
CSX issued the heat-related restrictions through 7 p.m. Wednesday. The transportation company says trains will travel at reduced speeds on both lines.
Riders can expect delays up to 15 minutes.
CSX says “heat orders” go into effect on tracks when temperatures climb to 85 degrees or higher.
Heat orders, however, do not take effect on the Penn Line until temperatures reach 95 or 100 degrees.
