LANHAM, Md. (WNEW) — Ellicott City, Md. — along with seven other small towns throughout the U.S. — are in the running to be named Parade Magazine’s “Best Main Street.”
From thousands of submissions, the magazine chose 16 towns as finalists. Voting for round one occurred this past Saturday and Sunday, and the field has been narrowed from sixteen towns to eight. Round two voting is open through 11:59 p.m. Monday.
In the bracket-style competition, Ellicott City is being pitted against Rockland, Maine.
The semifinals will run July 1, and the final round will follow on July 2.
