Martell Webster to Miss 3-5 Months After Surgery to Repair Herniated Disc

WASHINGTON (CBSDC) — Martell Webster underwent microdisectomy surgery Thursday to repair a herniated disc he sustained during Wizards’ practice, and will be out approximately three to five months, the team announced on Friday.

Webster’s surgery was performed by Dr. Robert Watkins, Jr. in Los Angeles, under the advisement of team doctors earlier this week, the team says.

This is the third time in Webster’s career he’s undergone such a surgery, as Ben Standing of CSN Washington notes.
