LANHAM, Md. (WNEW) — D.C. Police identified the man that was found dead on the grounds of a residence in Northwest on June 16.
Police say around 2 p.m., officials processed the backyard area of a house in the 1800 block of 8th Street, after obtaining a search warrant, and discovered the body of a man.
The cause of death was determined to be multiple blunt force impact injuries and the manner of death is ruled a homicide, police say.
On Thursday, officials identified the man as 23-year-old Delano Wingfield, of Southeast.
The homicide investigation is continuing.
