Video: Liquor Store Burglar Slips, Wipes Out During Break-In

LANHAM, Md. (WNEW) — Police have released surveillance video of three people smashing the front window of a northern Virginia ABC store in order to steal liquor.

The robbery occurred at the store in the 13900 block of Lee Jackson Memorial Highway in Chantilly shortly before 4 a.m. on June 22, police say.

The footage shows one of the burglars slip and wipe out on the floor shortly after entering the store. The person did not appear to be injured.

The group of thieves browsed aisles and stuffed spirits into bags before making their getaway. Police say vodka, gin, and whiskey were among the liquors stolen during the roughly two-minute long robbery.

Authorities ask anyone who may recognize the thieves to call Fairfax County Police at 703-591-0966.
