FBI: Man Wanted For String of Bank Robberies in D.C., Md.
LANHAM, Md. (WNEW) – The FBI and local police are looking for a man suspected of robbing at least five banks in the D.C. area this month.
The agency says the man robbed the PNC Bank in the 2000 block of Martin Luther King Avenue SE around 12:45 p.m. on June 6. A day later, he attempted to rob the PNC Bank located inside a Giant Food Store in the 10500 block of Greenbelt Road in Lanham, Maryland.
Police believe the man attempted to rob the Wells Fargo Bank in the 3200 block of Pennsylvania Avenue SE around 12:30 p.m. on Friday. That evening, the FBI says he robbed another Wells Fargo – this time in the 1200 block of First Street NE. Just minutes later, he robbed a second TD Bank on First Street NE.
