Police Seeking Boyfriend of Woman Killed in Falls Church House

FALLS CHURCH, Va. — Fairfax County police say they’re looking for the boyfriend of a woman found stabbed to death in a Falls Church boarding house.

Police said Thursday they have obtained an arrest warrant for murder against 35-year-old Juan Ramon Figueroa in connection with the death of 28-year-old Glenda Aviles. His gold-colored 2004 Mercedes sedan with Virginia tags is also missing from the area.

Officers first went to the house on Westmoreland Road at about 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in response to a request for a welfare check on a resident. They say nobody answered the door and nothing seemed amiss, so they left.

They returned later in the day with a homeowner and found Aviles dead inside.
