Hype surrounding the every-four-year soccer tournament has been leading to record television ratings. Washington has generated the highest ratings in the country. Monday’s game did a 11.8 rating in the nation’s capital.
Baltimore was the sixth-highest rated market with an 8.7 rating, according to ESPN.
