All News 99.1 WNEW

LANHAM, Md. (WNEW) — Hundreds of people spent Father’s Day paying tribute to American soldiers at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington.

The annual ceremony was held Sunday morning in honor of fathers who died as a result of the Vietnam War.

Thousands of roses from around the country were placed at the memorial to honor those killed and missing in action.

The names of more than 58,000 men and women who were killed or remain missing in action are inscribed on the wall.
