Teen Charged with Involuntary Manslaughter in Deadly Shooting
ALEXANDRIA, Va. — An 18-year-old man has been charged with involuntary manslaughter in the fatal shooting of another teenager inside a home in the Alexandria section of Fairfax County.
Police say Leon Johnson was charged Thursday. The shooting occurred on Monday evening at a home a block away from where Johnson lives.
Sixteen-year-old Kevin Johnson was killed in the shooting. Police say Kevin Johnson is not related to Leon Johnson. A 14-year-old boy was also shot and wounded.
Police have declined to release additional details about the circumstances of the shooting. The Washington Post has reported that according to a search warrant, Johnson ran out of the house saying “I’m sorry, I’m sorry,” after the teens were shot.
