LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — D.C. United has released new renderings of its proposed Buzzard Point stadium in an effort to drum up support before the City Council’s public hearing.

The soccer team says it’s “excited about the next steps in making the stadium a reality for our fans and the D.C. community,” and the latest renderings should get fans excited, too.

The D.C. Council will hold a public hearing on June 26 to discuss the proposed plans for Buzzard Point, but local soccer fans have voiced displeasure with the date of the hearing because it falls on the same day as an important World Cup match between the U.S. and Germany.
