WASHINGTON (CBSDC) — In a stroke of
ineptitude brilliance, the Twitter account of CNN’s “The Lead” — hosted by Jake Tapper — confused United States House Majority Whip Leader Kevin McCarthy with Fox News entertainment reporter Kevin McCarthy, with an auto-fill mishap I feel like I’ve been awaiting for years.
The ill-fated tweet — seemingly aimed at the same-named McCarthy for his likely bid to replace Eric Cantor as majority leader, after Cantor was astonishingly upset in Virginia’s primary Tuesday night — came sometime around the middle of the afternoon on Wednesday.

Kevin (our Kevin) responded with almost poetic perfection, accurately reflecting his sheer confusion and probable lack of knowledge of politics, or anything else falling outside the movie spectrum, with a manual RT and a “huh?”
Tapper, himself, responded.

The responses to which, mostly from Junkies fans, were absolutely the stuff dreams are made of, and will hereby forever live in infamy.

So congratulations to Kevin, who, if he decides to run, would make a great leader, so says soon-to-be former House Majority Leader Eric Cantor.
“I LOVE TWITTER!”
Update: June 12, 8:58 a.m. It’s already happened again.
