LANHAM, Md. (WNEW) — Police are searching for a man who they say sexually assaulted a child after grabbing and throwing him to the ground in the 8400 block of Annapolis Road in New Carrollton around 8:30 a.m. Sunday.
The child physically resisted and was able to flee from the attacker. He reported the incident to family members, who then called police.
The boy was not injured.
The suspect is described as being a black male in his 20s. He’s about 6 feet tall and was wearing red shorts and a black shirt with a cartoon on the front at the time of the incident. He has a close-cropped beard and did not have any noticeable scars or tattoos.
Anyone with knowledge of this incident or the suspect are asked to call the Prince George’s County Police Emergency Communications Center at 301-352-1200 and ask to speak with a New Carrollton police officer. The investigation is being conducted by the New Carrollton Police Department.
