LANHAM, Md. (WNEW) – A band director at a Northern Virginia high school has been arrested for alleged soliciting a teen boy.

Fairfax County Police say Laurence Einuis, 53, of Springfield, was arrested Thursday and charged with the use of communications systems to facilitate certain offenses involving children.

The investigation began Monday, police say, when Einuis allegedly engaged in an inappropriate conversation with a 14-year-old boy. The boy was not harmed, according to authorities.

Einuis was arrested at West Springfield High School without incident and taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.

Einuis has been a teacher at West Springfield High School since 2003, according to the school’s website.
