OCEAN CITY, Md. — Ocean City Police have charged a Virginia man with raping an acquaintance in resort hotel.
Police say on May 25, a group of people ran into some acquaintances at a nightclub. Officers say the group, including the acquaintances, went to a hotel room.
Officers say several members of the group left the hotel room, but one went back. Police say that person entered the room through an unlocked window and raped a woman.
Authorities arrested 29-year-old Romer Ortuno of Springfield, Virginia, on May 27 at his home. He is charged with rape and burglary.
Online court records do not list a lawyer for Ortuno.
