LANHAM, Md. (WNEW) — A 20-year-old woman was arrested for abusing her infant son, Prince George’s County Police say.
Officers arrived at her home just before 7 p.m. Monday for a report of an infant suffering a medical emergency. Police say the 10-month-old boy was taken to a local hospital where he is in critical condition.
Police arrested Jacqueline Vanessa Diaz-Pineda, of Adelphi, after admitting to assaulting her baby. She is charged with first- and second-degree child abuse.
Diaz-Pineda is being held at the Department of Corrections on a $500,000 bond.
