Friday Feel Good: DC Elementary School Students Break World Record For Bubble Wrap Popping

WASHINGTON (WNEW) — More than 600 students at Lafayette Elementary in D.C. succeeded Friday at breaking the world record for the most people popping bubble wrap simultaneously, WNEW’s Kevin Rincon reports.

An official from the Guinness Book still has to confirm that a new record was set, however.

A 5th grade boy named Doug, the student council president, says the idea to attempt a world record was part of his campaign.

“I thought it would be pretty cool and it would bring us some more school spirit,” he said.
