MANASSAS, Va. — Police in Prince William County say they’re looking for a man who raped a woman at gunpoint in her Woodbridge apartment as her two children slept in the other room.

Police say it happened Wednesday around 4:30 a.m. in the 13700 block of Keelingwood Circle in Woodbridge.

The victim, a 34-year-old woman, told police she awoke to find an unknown man inside her bedroom. Police say the suspect had a handgun and raped the victim before leaving. Neither child was hurt.

Police spokesman First Sgt. Kim Chin says there were no signs of forced entry into the apartment and police are looking into the possibility the suspect had a key.

Neighbors told police that a suspicious male was seen multiple times hanging around the apartment complex.
