LANHAM, Md. (WNEW) — A Glen Burnie teenager is recovering after she lost control of her car and hit a utility pole in Carroll County.
18-year-old Jenna Renee Martin was driving southbound on Woodbine Road near John Pickett Road around 8 a.m. Sunday when police say she traveled off the right side of the road. Martin attempted to regain control of her car when she crossed over opposite side of the road, hitting a utility pole and fence.
Martin was flown to Shock Trauma with life-threatening injuries where she remains in critical but stable condition.
Police say driver error and speed are contributing factors to the cause of the accident.
