LANHAM, Md. (WNEW/AP) — A portion of Rock Creek Parkway was closed for more than five hours after a vehicle drove off the road and into the creek early Thursday morning.
The car was traveling on southbound when police say it crossed into northbound lanes and went into the creek around 2:23 a.m. The roadway reopened shortly before 8 a.m.
Police say a woman inside the car was taken to a hospital in serious condition. A man was also taken to a hospital, but police did not have details about his condition.
