LANHAM, Md. (WNEW) — Two people, including one police officer, were injured after an accident Wednesday night in Fairfax County.
Fairfax County Police officials tell WNEW that the accident occurred around 10 p.m. on Franconia Road at Japonica Street in Springfield, Va.
Several vehicles, one being a police cruiser, were involved in the accident but it was not immediately known if it was three or four cars.
The officer and a second person involved in the accident were transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
