LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — Tracy Porter is recovering from surgery to repair a torn labrum in his shoulder and is not physically participating in the Washington Redskins offseason program.
However, head coach Jay Gruden categorized the procedure as a “minor deal” and said Porter should be fully recovered in time for training camp.
Porter did pass a physical before signing a two-year deal worth $6 million in March.
Gruden said Porter has been working with head trainer Larry Hess and is able to run.
Durability concerns surround the 27-year-old cornerback who notched two interceptions and returned one for a touchdown last season with the Oakland Raiders.
