LANHAM, Md. (WNEW/AP) — D.C. Police say a city public school employee has been charged with enticing a minor.
Police say they arrested 26-year-old Joseph Morales of Northwest, D.C., on Friday after detectives say they received a tip Thursday of inappropriate communications between a student and D.C. public school employee at Cardozo Education Campus.
Detectives from Youth Investigations Division who are assigned to the MPD/FBI Internet Crime Against Children Task Force conducted an investigation which led to the arrest.
Morales is currently on administrative leave.
The investigation is continuing in an attempt to locate and identify additional victims.
Cardozo is a secondary school serving grades 6-12 with an enrollment of 681 students.
