WASHINGTON (CBSDC) — Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., hits back against critics who slammed him for his climate views after he said that human activity is not causing dramatic changes to our climate.

Speaking on “The Sean Hannity Show” Wednesday, Rubio said that they will never admit to the “settled science” that life begins at conception.

“Science is settled. It’s not even a consensus, it a unanimity that human life begins at conception,” Rubio said. “So I hope the next time that someone wags their finger about science they will ask one of these leaders on the left, ‘Do you agree with the consensus of scientists that say human life begins at conception?’”

Rubio was firing back at critics for his comments he made to ABC News Sunday where he said he doesn’t believe “that human activity is causing these dramatic changes to our climate the way these scientists are portraying it.”

“Their claim is that if we stop doing certain things that it will change back. That is absurd,” Rubio told Hannity, adding that the climate is always changing.

Rubio has yet to say if he will run for the White House in 2016 but says he is ready to be president.
