LANHAM, Md. (WNEW) – The FBI and local police are looking for a group of men who allegedly robbed a bank in Washington, D.C. on Thursday morning.
The three men, according to police, walked into the Colombo Bank in Northwest just after 10:30 a.m. and passed a note to the bank teller that demanded money.
The suspects received an undisclosed amount of money and placed it in a backpack. As the men were leaving the bank, a dye pack exploded and the suspects left the backpack full of cash in a nearby gas station parking lot.
Authorities describe the suspects as black men in their late teens or early 20’s.
The FBI is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the identification, arrest and conviction of the suspects.
