LANHAM, Md. (WNEW) — The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a person of interest in connection with an attempted bank robbery.

The incident occurred Saturday around 10:44 a.m., in the 2800 block of Alabama Avenue, SE, located in the same area of a D.C. police substation.

The subject is described as a black male approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, 25- to 30-years-old, weighing 150 pounds, with a medium complexion, short haircut and no facial hair. He was last seen wearing a tan Polo cap, dark-colored sunglasses, navy blue jean jacket and dark colored pants.
