UPDATE: William Jett has been found safe and unharmed.

LANHAM, Md. (WNEW) — An elderly man suffering from dementia has gone missing in Montgomery County, and police are asking for the public’s help in finding him.

Montgomery County Police say 90-year-old William Jett, of the 18700 block of Walker’s Choice Road in Gaithersburg, was last seen leaving his home for an appointment at about 10 a.m. Thursday. Police say he never arrived at his appointment.

Jett was last seen driving a gold 1998 Toyota Camry with Maryland tag ZEX676.

He is described as a white male, standing 6 feet tall and weighing about 210 pounds. He has balding gray hair with a beard, and wears gold colored glasses.

Family members tell police that Jett suffers from dementia.

Police ask anyone who has information about Jett’s whereabouts to call 911.
