LANHAM, Md. (WNEW) — The Montgomery County Fire Department is mourning the loss of one of their own, after 24-year-old Garrett Greene was killed when his motorcycle flipped at the intersection of Central Drive and Staton Drive in Prince George’s County Thursday.
Greene was a two-year member of the fire department and was a member of the special operations division at the Aspen Hill Station.
County Fire Spokesperson Pete Piringer says Greene had “quite an impact” during his young life.
Greene also volunteered for the Kentland Volunteer Fire Department in Prince George’s County, however he was not on duty at the time of the accident.
