LANHAM, Md. (WNEW) — A woman was raped at knife-point while jogging along the Northwest Branch Trail in Silver Spring Monday afternoon, police say.

Police released a composite sketch of the man believed to be involved in the rape on Wednesday.

A man armed with a knife approached the woman, who is in her mid-20′s, as she was jogging in a park adjacent to Oakview Drive around 4:15 p.m., according to Montgomery County Police.

He forced the woman off the trail and raped her before fleeing the area.

The attacker is described as being Hispanic and in his mid-20′s. He is between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall with a medium build, medium complexion, and short black hair.

The man was wearing a blue baseball hat, white t-shirt, and black pants at the time of the assault. The shirt may have a light blue logo on it, according to police.

Anyone with information is asked contact Montgomery County Police. Police are also offering a $20,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect involved in this incident.
