More from 106.7 the Fan
WASHINGTON (CBSDC) - The Washington Redskins have re-signed recently released and recently reinstated safety Tanard Jackson, 106.7 The Fan’s Sky Kerstein has confirmed.
Jackson was recently re-instated by the NFL, officially on Tuesday morning — after missing the entirety of the past two seasons on suspension for violating the league’s substance abuse policy in 2012 — only to be promptly released by the Redskins hours later.
Prior to his release, Redskins general manager Bruce Allen said of Jackson met all the conditions the NFL has laid out for him, in order to remain reinstated, he “might” have a chance to remain on the roster.
Jackson has never played a regular season game for the Redskins, and last played an NFL game for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Jan. 1, 2012.
