WASHINGTON (CBSDC) – Bradley’s Beal’s magnificent performance in the Wizards 102-96 second-round Game 1 victory didn’t go unnoticed by the opposition, with Pacers guard Paul George calling the 20-year-old a “superstar” who’s “on the rise.”

George’s high praise came after the game, in which Beal shot 8-of-18 from the field and 3-of-5 from beyond the arc, collecting 25 points, 7 assists and 7 rebounds.

“Bradley’s, I mean he’s a superstar in this league,” George said. “He’s on the rise. He is poised. He’s a great shot-maker, a great playmaker, and he just plays within the game and himself. And tonight, he just did a great job of freeing himself and getting shots up, and playing with a confidence tonight.”

For a more in-depth perspective on how patient the Wizards were in the development of Beal, I strongly suggest Mike Prada’s piece over at Bullets Forever.

George was also asked about the playoff struggles of teammate Roy Hibbert, who’s production bottomed out last night with 0 points and 0 rebounds.

“We’re still with him through this process,” George said. “He’s gonna find a way through. We need him now, but I have faith that along the way, he’s gonna find himself. But again, we’re at a point where we’re really gonna need Roy, and we really need him now.”
