WASHINGTON (CBSDC) – The Washington Redskins have been notified by the NFL that long-suspended safety Tanard Jackson has been reinstated, Jason La Canfora reports.
Unsubstantiated reports of Jackson’s pending reinstatement have been swirling for months, which were dismissed by a source close to Jackson in March, who told 106.7 The Fan’s Grant Paulsen there was no truth to the rumor Jackson was close to reinstatement.
Jackson, 28, was suspended indefinitely in Aug. 2012, follow his third violation of the NFL’s substance-abuse policy, before every playing a regular-season down for the Redskins.
Tanard Jackson is under contract with the #Redskins. Won't be a free agent. He's essentially been out of football for 3 of last 4 years.—
