LANHAM, Md. (WNEW) — A bicyclist was seriously injured in a hit-and-run Thursday night near Union Station, police say.
The man was riding a rented bike from the Capital Bikeshare program when they were struck by a dark grey, four-door, Honda Accord in the 200 block of H Street NE around 9:48 p.m., according to D.C. police. The driver of the car did not stop and continued driving on H Street.
Police believe the collision may have possibly dented or otherwise damaged the car.
The bicyclist is hospitalized with serious to life-threatening injuries.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident. Anyone who may have information about the case is asked to contact police.
